Sonship is a journey.....not a title Hi there!! Im prompted this day to break this bread about sonship,a journey that even Christ had to travel. In the book of Matthew chapter 1,we hear about the birth of Christ and him growing to be a fine young man.... God spoke Him into Marys womb,we see the LORD being with HIM, as a young boy and a young man, however God doesnt say anything about HIM being HIS son...it was only in chapter 3:16-17, after the baptism that the Spirit in a form of a dove fell upon HIM, that GOD said...this is MY son,in whom I am pleased mind you...HE(Christ) was 30yrs old then,dont call yourself a son if youve never had the authority of the father upon your life,the Spirit in a form of a dove was a symbol of authority of the father to the son....that is why,as we proceed,we hear Christ saying that if u have seen me you have seen the Father....can I blow your mind?? The bible records in Matthew 4:1-11 that after that HE was led by the Spirit(Romans 8:14) into the wilderness and was tested by the enemy...that was the enemy,triggering the authority of the Father in the Son,coz we hear the tempter saying if you are a son of GOD,as a son...you cease to do things on ur own,for ur self...u r led by the Spirit,in order to negotiate a path for what u carry that it may find a work place......then from that point onwards,we see in verse 17 of the same chapter,Christ starting with ministry... As a Son.... -u carry ur fathers DNA,authority,stature and conduct...it is not a matter of submitting under a father figure,coz that is what we call a principle of a father-son relationship....but by practice and action its a different manifestation all together.... -U are a solution...not a ptoblem...imagine if Christ had to go back to heaven to cry to GOD that HE is being tempted...fathers r not raising spoilt brats....Romans 8:19...the creation is not waiting for children,but son of God...and not sons that only profess that they r sons yet in action and practice,they r still children.... MAY WE TAKE THIS JOURNEY WITHOUT FEAR OR INTIMIDATION COZ IN DUE SEASON,THE AUTHORITY OF GOD WILL RELEASE US TO GO AND REPRESENT HEAVEN IN HIGH PLACES.... BE OF STRENGTH AND OF GOOD COURAGE,STAY CONNECTED TO THE SOURCE.. LOTS OF LOVE....
