Sooooo.......it would appear that I just might be in need of a new set of boxing gloves. Left mind on the floor of the work comp docs waiting room...........when we WALKED OUT!!!!! Unbelievable! Not only has the issue with the MRI and the Neurologist gotten hung up in a snag, now Terrys case has been moved to the 2nd level work comp auditor since Terry Lindgren had been admitted to the hospital. The first level auditor had given the authorization for the MRI and Neurologist. Got a phone call from the 2nd level just as we were leaving for our appointment (I had asked him to email me the authorizations).....seems he wants to wait to see what the work comp doc thinks.....EVEN THOUGH THOSE TESTS/SPECIALISTS ARE WRITTEN IN THE ER DOCTORS REPORTS! Sooooo.......Im doing my best to remain calm, breath, you know......umm...not kill someone..........and we arrive at the work comp doc appointment. As were checking in, were told that the spouse is not allowed to go into the room with the work comp doc and it can only be the patien and the spouse cant go into the appointment until the NEXT appointment. Never mind the fact that Im the one thats been talking to the docs for him since hes been drugged up, or that Terry asked that I come in since I have all our questions and the list of whats been going on and hes having a tough time concentrating. Didnt matter to them....there was no way they were letting me in.....hence, the boxing gloves coming off!!! Long story short, we left. Called the other care provider network in this area and got an appointment for 2pm this afternoon! Theres no way were getting involved in a work comp doc that has to be secretive about things! Grrrrr.......I think I need some chocolate!
