Sooooo...talk about surreal...was listening to a Movie Review podcast earlier this evening, when two films I helped Produce and acted in get reviewed. Yep--that just happened! The podcast covers two Ernie Smith, Skelly Films offerings. In the first review "Dream About Angels" (we have won two 1st Places and a 3rd in Film Festivals for this film), my character is discussed in depth---I am called "the Mystery Man", and that my looks and voice/dialogue are well fit for the role. In the second review, our Romantic Comedy Feature Film, "Unavailable" ( we just won Best Romantic Comedy at the Indie Gathering Film Festival, and several nominations for Best Actress (Diane Sokolowich), Best Supporting Actress (Rachael Lang) Best Photography (Nick Raomondi), and Best Director (Ernie Smith) is reviewed. The reviewers say we knocked it out of the park, and were hands down better than a Gerard Butler romantic comedy which came out at the same time. They repeatedly call out the "troupe" of actors, crew, writers, and such who work on Skelly Films productions. They take the time to praise my good friend and co-star Diane Sokolowich, in both films, and heap praise on Director Ernie Smith while basically begging some money types to come and fund him for a BIG project sometime soon, using the very same cast & crew of these other award winning projects.!!! This has been a great year for Skelly Films and our wonderful family who make these things happen. Onward and upward!!!
