Soooooooo. Buttercup calls her Dad last week for some bowling tips and to correct a few things with her approach. After 10 hours of talking with her Dad, this included a PowerPoint presentation and a excel spreadsheet on how to beat Chuck! Buttercup is happy and satisfied with her conversation!! She tells me that the first thing she needs to get his tape for her thumb. This will prevent her from dropping the ball. Since we bowl on Friday night I told her we will get the tape on Saturday (advantage Chuck). Buttercup hit me for that remark!!! Christina’s boyfriend Martin has tape in his bag and gives Buttercup all his tape ( I almost put him in a choke hold for that gesture but I held back, advantage Buttercup). We start practice bowling and my first ball went straight to the gutter…OMG!! I have never thrown a gutter ball before and when I glanced at Buttercup she mumbles “you are in trouble tonight”. The first game was a battle but I hung tough and barely beat Buttercup. The next two games I ran into a brick wall, Buttercup Lebroned me – don’t know what happened but she gave me one helluva ass whupping. I tried to remove the tape from her ball and replace it with a lil Vaseline (Thanks to Ray for that advice lol) but she had her bowling ball guarded like Fort Knox. The last game was the pivotal game, Christina tells me that “Mom , is kicking your butt!! Are you going to let her win?” And then Buttercup tells me “Breakfast will be good this weekend and tells me how she wants her eggs cooked!! That’s when I turned into the “Avenger characters” Buttercup was Hulked, Ironed, saluted like Captain America, bit by the Black Widow and hunted down by Hansel and Gretel. What a miracle comeback, besides carrying the bowling balls to the car Buttercup had to carry me!! Bowling is winding down and next week I might be in trouble – Buttercup bowled real good and she looks like the Buttercup of old – but I hate to ruin a good thing and lose.. So, I will continue to stay focused and keep my eye on the prize (breakfast and dinner this weekend)! OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
