Sorry folks, the succeeding topic happens to be very important to me.... After this season, naa na poy aspect sa New Year nga akong tumbokon. Malditahon diay ko? Hahaha, yes! Hilom lang kay magulang ra man sa maldita! WHAT ARE YOUR FEARS? Did you know that the word FEAR appears 326 times in the Bible? But each time, God also says, “Do not be afraid.” It means, duol2x ra ni sa 365 days in a year. Kung patughan diay nato atong mga kahadlok, halos kada adlaw ta nga fearful. But if we turn these over to God, NO FEAR sab kita! Somebody said nga kung atong sutaon, mankind can have hundreds of fears. I tried to validate this by conducting a contest in a group of 40 kids during our HALELUJAH CLASS. {What’s that? Usa ni ka special class conducted days before the world’s Halloween Party, to counter the spirits of fears nga promoted at this time.} Tuod man, daghan kaayo ang FEARS nga gilista sa mga bata. Some may look ridiculous or childish, pero basi maka-relate ka, my Friend {di na nako isulat tanan for lack of space}: exam, madagma, blood, Principal (aarggh!), mobuto ang matag-tiki (hihihi!), sunog, lightning, mirror, witch, makasab-an, lindol, horror movies, off & on lights (result na ni sa horror movies!) , maligsan, maldita nga classmate (Ha3x, how ‘bout you? Naa kay maldita nga friend or ikaw ang maldita?), squash (Mao na lagi ning Jack O Lantern ba. Naa ba gud ni sa Bible?), baha, darkness, knife, bee, ipis, dog, lion… Hah! Hangak ang kataas sa list! Padayon ta: asin (Asin?? Ah, kay paludhon diay sila sa asin!), cemetery (Hmmm…Christian kids must not be afraid of death!), spider (Result na lagi ni sa Halloween teachings ba. God created the spider. Satan projected it as scary.) , maulawan, white lab coat (Sa horror movies lagi ni!), snake, martilyo, hospital, belt (kay para bunal!), etc… Friend, can you add to the list? Here’s my “matipid” na list coz of lack of space: due dates sa mga utang (Kita tanan dili exempted ani no?), no helper (Alang sa lazy like me, he3x!), masayop sa work (Ooowss?), etc.3x. Ngano bitaw pod nga very attractive ang Halloween nga in reality, nagpugas man tag mga liso sa fears thru this? “’La lang, lingaw2x ra gud,” maoy tubag sa gipangutana nganong moapil syag Halloween Party. Silly holiday! We glorify Satan’s symbols when in fact, gi-destroy na sila tanan ni Jesus! Will Jesus nod in approval of these? We allow symbols of bats, vampires, ogre, Frankenstein, werewolf & zombie to be displayed in our homes, offices,etc, during this man-made Halloween. Labon bitaw kung masaniban nag evil spirits in real life, would we dare to call on witches and black cats to help us? Mangluspad ug magkurog2x na. Manawag na dayon tag prayer warriors! Ah, niay klarong panagang sa kahadlok: “FEAR NOT FOR I AM WITH YOU.” Isaiah 43:5. Mubo ra kaayo nga verse no? But it can silence our long list of real and imagined fears. Imagine you’re a boxer with the word “FAITH” printed on your gloves. You use it to meet head-on your opponent, FEAR. Have faith, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” Acts 16:31. Maluwas ta sa atong fears of hell, of the unknown, of Satan mismo! IN JESUS’ NAME, GET OUT SPIRIT OF FEAR!! (P.S. It is time to seek the Lord. Amen!) Part 3 of a series
