Sorry for the hiatus everybody - it was nearly two weeks ago now, but what a fantastic march on the 18th! Thank you everyone who came. It was an excellent turnout in the end, and a great atmosphere. Heres a collection of tweets, photos and live coverage of the march: britainneedsapayrise.org/live/ There was also an occupation of parliament square, in which protestors, including (but by no means limited to!) leader of the Green Party Natalie Bennet, Labour MP John McDonnell, Russel Brand, and anarchist academic David Graeber, made the case that Britains democracy is in dire need to reform and reinvigoration - and according to some, is no longer a democracy at all. What do you think? Is democracy in crisis in this country? Do we still HAVE a democracy, or has the power of corporations, a corporately owned media and a privately educated political class got a stranglehold on our country?
