Sorry if this is long but its at the request of Dave Bardascini. Like any C.E.O. of a company they need to have a plan moving forward. Below is my 10 point plan that supports my priorities 1) employee training and morale 2) operational efficiency and 3) community outreach. Under each point there are projects, ideas, and changes to support those points. Recently in the recorder..Sheriff Amato was asked why he is running again and all he can say is that theres things he still needs to finish. As a resident, I would like to know what those are and his plan for the next four years. As requested here is my 10 point plan 1) Employee and Community morale - A focus on surrounding myself with leaders that are willing and able to improve the quality of the Office and Community Morale. 2) Office and Jail Efficiency- We will work on making the office more efficient without a burden to tax payers by reviewing workload, current structure, and productivity. 3) Training and development - We will improve the training by continuing to educate the staff to help improve safety, cut unneccesary costs like lawsuits, and develop to promote within. 4) Community Involvement- We will establish the Sheriffs office as the go to for community support and involvement by creating a culture to help others. 5) Crime Prevention through Proactive Community awareness and involvement- The Sheriffs office will be more active with teaching the community through events, social media and other functions about current trends and ways to protect themselves. 6) Target Area Action- The Sheriffs office will dedicate more resourses to target area including Retail Row, Fultonville truck stop, and other areas that have crime trends that need to be addressed. 7) Collaborating across Boundaries- We will do every effort to rebuild relationships with surrounding Police Depts. We will also look towards working together with a new multijuristictional task force that I would like to organize. 8) Decrease in response time through Lean process programs. We will review the current Road zoning, operational inefficiencies, and staffing to change so that our response times decreases and we can serve the public in a faster but safer maner. 9) Technology advancement- Utilize resources and grants available to upgrade technology for the safety and security of the Sheriffs office and the Public 10) Accredited agency -Accreditation is a progressive and contemporary way of helping police agencies evaluate and improve their overall performance. We will review the standards and work towards being an Accredited Agency
