Sorry to all who have seen this already but have tried it out this morning and it is amazing:- Just been given a great money saving tip by the energy efficiency guy at British Gas - put your washing on to spin one more time (same spin speed as the main wash cycle is all you need to use) and it will cut aprox 30 mins off your drying time in the dryer. Dryers use between 26p and 39p per hour (depending on kw used {2kw and 3kw respectively}) The saving is even better as the extra spin cycle only costs aprox 1/10 of a penny to run. I also worked out that by the end of the winter I will have spent less doing the extra spin each time I wash than on what I save on just one use of the dryer, if I put every wash load in the dryer. Reckon it will save me about £20 this winter. I realise there is an extremely high possibility that I am behind an awful lot of you, but this saving is exiting to me!! (Boy does that make me sound sad!!)
