Sorry to be such a stranger today.... I have been fighting a cold for the last couple of days.... seems that all of my friends in Gaza have a cold or just got over one.... spent the day away from people and eating a few antibiotics and some hot soup... seems that we all lived in some isolation over 51 days and now that we are back meeting each other again, we are passing the cold around.... one to another... go figure.... another result of the 51 day attack. But also spent the day preparing for a 4 day workshop that I am organizing with others starting on Saturday, September 27 - this Saturday - Empowering Women Using Social Media. I am looking forward to this workshop and to interacting with a number of women journalists and journalism students over 4 days. The workshop is part of our ongoing project to empower social media activists in Gaza - 1000 Voices for Gaza. This will be a workshop for people who are primarily Arabic speakers and writers, and will present some challenges, but Nader will join me as translator and guide over the 4 days. I honestly cant wait to get started.
