Sorry to hijack your page ladies but I just wanted to give a few details regarding the Dirt Devils Gravity Enduro race at the Meehan Range this Sunday. Firstly wed like to say a big thanks to Dunc and Sarah for their help in getting the event up and running with their wealth of knowledge and running the timing! This event could not of happened without them. Weve had a couple of entries in the female category which is awesome but Im hoping with a bit more explanation, we might be able to persuade a couple more ladies to enter! Not all of the 3 courses have been announced just yet but will be over the next few days before entries close tomorrow night. We have announced Wedge Rock as the first courses and there will certainly will be a run around Death Log in one of the courses. For anyone who knows the area, both have some features that are challenging (Some steeper chutes) but also are manageable and with B lines or the ability to quickly jump off the bike. We have been grooming the courses out there over the lest few weeks and with the recent rain, things are riding really well and nowhere near as loose. Each of the 3 courses are combination of around 70% descending and 30 % undulating or climbing and will take around 5 - 15 minutes to complete. Each course will finish back at the staging area @ Belbins Rd. From there, you will have a bit over of an hour to get some food in and climb at your own pace before starting your next stage. The whole idea behind the format is to keep it enjoyable, challenging and as much about the social aspect as the racing. As there is un-timed liaison stages and a gap between each race run, there is plenty of time to relax and meet people into the same style of riding.
