South Korean government reacted quickly after the Southeast Asian country was hit by one of the deadliest storms ever. Only few hours after the disaster, Seoul created a public-private emergency task force team not only to assess damages upon Koreans living in and/or near the Philippines, but also to provide humanitarian aids to the country. In addition, President Park Geun-Hye sent a formal telegram of condolences to Philippine President Benigno Aquino III.
