#South_Korea #Hankyoreh Desperate aerial protest by dismissed #Ssangyong Motor workers Two dismissed Ssangyong Motor workers embarked on an aerial protest 70m up a chimney at the automaker’s factory in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, Dec. 13. The workers were laid off in 2009 and this is the first time any of them have entered the factory since then. The union said that after the Supreme Court ruled against them, the workers are seeking a new source of hope, and so made the difficult decision to enter the factory. The workers’ requests for more negotiations regarding reinstatement were rejected by the company, so they’re embarked on this demonstration as a last resort.
