Souths Bragalone named All-State Class A Player of the Year December 23, 2014 By CHRIS MASSE (cmasse@sungazette), Williamsport Sun-Gazette Dominick Bragalone ran away from defenders all season while making history every time he touched the football late in the year. Bragalone continued doing so Monday, running away with the Class As biggest individual achievement. Bragalone was named the Class A State Player of the Year by the a statewide panel of voters and headlined a big day for area Class A and Class AAA players. Bragalone earned the honor for a second straight year was one of 10 area players selected to the all-state teams and was joined by four South teammates. Bragalone was an easy selection after having one of the best seasons by a running back in U.S. history. The senior ran for a state-record 4,717 yards, scored a state-record 67 touchdowns and helped lead South to the state semifinals for the first time since 1997. Bragalone finished with the second-most yards by a player in the countrys history and was only 39 yards from breaking that record. Read the full story in todays Sun-Gazette.
