Spending Time At Our Wits End Psalm 107:27-28 Wits is - TopicsExpress

Spending Time At Our Wits End Psalm 107:27-28 Wits is defined as intellect not disordered; sound mind; the understanding or mental powers. We as humans spend a lot of time at our wits end, reeling to and fro. We all have spent time and energy trying to find solutions to our various wits end dilemmas. Sometimes we use problem-solving skills that seem sensible to us, and in so doing we may see our circumstances change for the better. When that happens, we sigh with relief that yet another crisis has been averted. But what if we cant figure these things out on our own? What if, at our wits end, we feel lost in pain, confusion, desperation, and fear? These are the kinds of emotions that drive us to cry out to the Lord in our trouble. Many great people in the Old Testament had hard times. There were times when there was *spiritual darkness in their lives. They had doubts. They felt desperate. So, their spiritual experience was not always easy. Just to name a few; Elijah, Jeremiah, the prophet and John the Baptist. They all had times of confusion. They suffered personal pain and despair. Things affected these 3 men very much. They were very aware of their great tasks from God too. I come by this morning to remind someone to stay encouraged. We as believers have periods of spiritual darkness too. But my, my, my, the good news is, when our backs are against the wall, He is there. God is always at our wits end. How do we know? Because God is wherever we are. Wherever we may wander, in foolishness or fear, God does not leave us. Hallelujah!!! He said in Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Thank You Jesus!!! So understand, we might be spending time at our wits end but we got Our Father and His Son Jesus Christ who sits high and looks low and I know without a shadow of a doubt, He will never leave us or forsake us. Hold on and stay in His word and live His word and He will sustain you through it. Hallelujah!!! Thank You Jesus!!! Be blessed and I love you!!! JE
