Spent a nice day watching some of the current and upcoming superstars of the Morris Knolls and Morris Hills combined lacrosse teams play in a tournament together today at Lehigh PA. (2 wins, 1 loss) For those who arent familiar with the (quite ridiculous) dynamic of the school system in Rockaway township, Ill attempt to briefly explain (and youll better understand why today was cool). You see, Rockaway Township, after the kids grow up, and attend the same elementary and middle schools, play recreation and travel sports together, swim at the same clubs and summer at the same camps, actually divide and go to two different high schools with three other towns. The result is a strange camaraderie and simultaneous a fierce rivalry between the two high schools. Regardless of that, after the games, the kids are reunited, exchange hugs and relentlessly bust each others chops. Today was another example of this. Great times for the players and parents.
