Spent thanksgiving with Vickis side of the family this year and three of our kids and one of our son in laws. (Jon was under the wetter so he stayed home, hope ya feel better Jon!) Our fourth kid, our youngest son Swibek, was away on a mission trip in Vassar. We had a great time, good food and good company. We celebrate Christmas with Fickys family at thanksgiving because my mom in law and dad in law desert their family and go to Florida, (Gods waiting room) with their favorite family member Jake the doggy, to wait out the living hell that is a Michigan winter. I for one dont blame them a bit. Envy yes, blame no. Ive gotten to where I like being around Finchis family more than my own! Many members of my side of the family obviously dont like me any more. You may ask, How do you know this Grim Jim? I will answer, Because they send me letters every week that say, WE DONT LIKE YOU! Last week I got 23. All from different family members. They also pooled their money and rented a billboard on Dort Hwy. with the words WE DO NOT LIKE JIM!!! Its sad and hurtful. They dont like me cause of my views on issues, my left leaning political stance, my belief that a democracy MUST be liberal if its going to be a true democracy, Ive stolen money from them, Im critical of America SOMETIMES, Ive stolen a couple of cars from them (actually five), Im suspicious of what goes on in the church and I sold marijuana to some 5th graders. I do love them in spite of their dislike of me, and I guess Ill get used to being at family get togethers and getting the stink eye from certain ones. Im sleepy now. Im going to turn in and dream of thanksgiving and Chrissmasss of yesteryear. Before I was being judged for not towing the line.
