Spent the last 3 days hanging out in paradise ! After stumbling across this gorgeous cafe and then spending the rest of the night there we couldnt help but to return day after day. We were invited back by the owners and asked if wed like to have lunch, or dinner or even dessert with them, food they cooked from their own personal ingredients....the only menu they had was for coffee !!! Words can never really express what this family has done for us. I sure am glad we got to experience this with our new friends because it was all too surreal. Nestled high in the mountains, surrounded by trees and a fire place its a perfect location to turn your brain off and enjoy the moment !! We ate, we drank, we competed, we helped, we cried, laughed and with very broken Spanglish we conversed ! Last night after spending 12 hours there, we were told the bill was non existent because love was more important ..........eventually we got our way and paid for the $100 equivalent bill !! I will no doubt be back in Salento soon and when I do, I have myself a bed at their private farm. I seriously cant believe the generosity of these people !! Theres something very special about them, that made us spend 3 days straight on the balcony. Their manners, kindness, respect and sense of humour will NEVER be forgotten !! ❤️Cafe Salento Gourmet ❤️
