Spent this time reading the comments, advice, and support given me here and in private messages...thank you so much... :) A large % of them are about me and ssi/disability...I do know I qualify because of all my heart stuff in the physical contexts, but I made a willing and informed choice prior to my current knee situation, to not pursue it because it doesnt just go down because youre disabled... if youre married or even living with your significant other, the paperwork to apply *requires* you to give all personal info of theirs too...bank accounts, vehicle registrations, pay stubs, social security number, the works... I have absolutely no issues about giving that info of *mine* , but no one will ever convince me that I need to give them *anyone* elses, including my husband, to decide if *Im* disabled... Either *I* qualify on my own medical records of being disabled, or I dont...that has nothing to do with anyone elses financial information, period. I chose to not lie about my status, I chose to marry the man I love knowing it would mean I couldnt get disability because of their rules, and I accepted it as is...I stand strong behind those choices having been right for *me* and always will... Now, I will be applying at the time I become legally single, and hope Ill be approved...no ones info but mine...since many that apply arent approved, ill deal with that if that happens and just hope it wont happen for now... Thats my plan and Im sticking to it. :)
