SpiceJet to start service on Pune-Sharjah route on Sept 21, 2013 SpiceJet Ltd has announced the launch of direct flights between Pune and Sharjah on September 21, 2013, the PTI reported. The airline will be deploying its Boeing New Generation 737-800 (189 seater aircraft) on this route, SpiceJet said in a statement. The airline is offering an introductory fare of Rs 6,499 one way (inclusive of all taxes) on the route. The flight will depart Pune at 22.30 hrs and reach Sharjah at 0.25 hrs. On the return leg, the flight will leave Sharjah at 1.25 hrs to reach Pune at 6.00 hrs. Pune is the third Indian destination to connect with Sharjah on SpiceJet network. The airline already operates on Varanasi- Sharjah and Lucknow- Sharjah routes. SpiceJet also operates flights to Dubai. It currently operates four daily flights to Dubai from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kochi. SpiceJet has been expanding its global footprint in the recent past with the addition of several foreign cities in the Middle Eastern and Asian regions on to its network.
