Dr. Michael Terry took Chicago Blackhawks Coach Qs Ice Bucket Challenge and nominates orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Stephen Gryzlo of Northwestern Memorial and a team physician for the Chicago Cubs, Coach Pat Fitzgerald of Northwestern University Football, and Dr. Brian Cole, head team physician for the Chicago Bulls. The Ice Bucket Challenge aims to raise awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerois (ALS). ALS—often referred to as Lou Gehrigs Disease or Motor Neuron Disease (MND)—is a progressive, degenerative disease affecting motor neurons. More than 5,600 Americans are diagnosed with ALS each year.
