Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, let me walk upon the waters whenever You would call me.-Oceans Its pretty dark when you feel like you are just keeping your head above the water and surviving. No time to breathe deep, gasping for breath, panicked. You dont even know if you will survive. Its constant waves, and just when you do take a deep breath because the waves seem to settle, another wave knocks you down. Treading....just treading, just staying. Ive been thinking about this song Oceans for a while as we prepare to lead it for worship. What does it really mean? My job forces me to ask this question as I take one language and interpret it to another, so it follows to all areas of my life. We have a mission, we have a purpose, we have a given glory, but the enemy doesnt want it to be seen. The enemy doesnt want it to impact the world around us, and certainly doesnt want the colors of God to be shown through us. So, he tries to keep us under the waves without faith, without hope, without believing that there does exist a God at all. Or he keeps the waves coming, calling us ill equipped, weak, worthless, not fought for, failures. But God is there, He is near us, beside us, reaching for us. We are not alone, but we are struggling. Then, we call upon (His) name. JESUS!!!! COME!!!! We trust Him, and we set our gaze on Him. Finally, I am Yours, and You are mine. I dont know about you, but I am tired of drowning, I am tired of fighting, I am just...tired! So, I cant forget this, my life, my everything, depends on it...depends on Him, my Jesus.
