Spiritual and Carnal Thinking Part - 18 Proverbs 2:1-5 - My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. When we listen to the Word of God we change our thinking but we treasure it only for a few days. Since we are attuned to a different kind of mindset all these years, the old thinking will resurface and it will take hold of us. I have seen during anointing sessions, people fall and manifest but if we do not renew our mind we will remain the same. When a person falls, the anointing melts him just like the metal when its melted and put into a cast. Our minds also start melting but it is important that we put ourselves into a cast called the Word of God where our thoughts are aligned with His words. Only then, does our life shape according to Gods Word; if there is only anointing and no Word there is no cast. There has to be a balance of both. We cannot manifest the fruit of the Spirit without having the mindset of the Spirit; we cannot see the manifestation of Gods power by deciding in our mind that our hands are anointed. Do not go on feelings; Jesus did not say only when our hands shake the anointing is there and the sick shall be healed. In order to have the manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit in our lives, we must believe the promise of Christ according to His word. Fruitfulness and abundance has been promised to us and everyone who receives Christ as Lord and Savior and continues in faith and obedience. John 14:12-14 says Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. The booklet that we distribute is meant to be studied to change our thinking. It is not a prayer book, but a book of Gods promises that are written in the Bible. The more we speak these promises and believe in them we make these promises as our spiritual evidence even when there is none in the physical. Now, slowly but surely with perseverance we will see the manifestation of Gods Spirit in your life. I met a very simple lady who was having a lot of problems with her husbands health, problems at her workplace and problems with her finances etc. I gave her a few Scriptures to recite in faith. I met her after a month and she was very happy as all the scriptural promises had manifested in her life. First of all, she was reciting the scriptures everyday; secondly she was imagining that her problems were solved. Trust me; she said they had an out of court settlement with everybody satisfied. The husband had to undergo an operation which inadvertently got delayed. Later when they were to operate him they had to do the tests again and all the reports were normal, and the surgery was called off. Mind you, all this happened within one month. So, whoever listens and accepts Gods Word with an open heart and alert mind will receive from Him all that He has promised. Hebrews 4:12 - For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart **********
