Spiritualist view of Iswar (God)---Sanatan Dharma “I am one - TopicsExpress

Spiritualist view of Iswar (God)---Sanatan Dharma “I am one but became many”—“Iswar (God) is one but He manifests as many”- this is the basic concept about Iswar (God) in Sanatan Dharma. As we came to understand from our earlier discussion that Sanatan Dharma is not a way of worship (religion) but a ‘Philosophy of life’. Wise men and women, sages and saints over a period of many many years contributed in this philosophy and their wise thoughts and inferences has been compiled in many sacred books which exist today. It is compiled in Vedas, Upanishads, Brahma Sutra, Sree Gita, Six schools of Philoshophy and many Puranas (120). These wise men and women of yore used their intellect to do their ‘Sadhana’ (research) and got ‘connected’ with the reservoir of the pool of “Absolute truth’ of this universe. Their way of knowing was the intuitive knowledge that comes after someone can get connected with the ‘Supreme Soul’. The ‘Sadhana’(research) of these ‘Spiritual scientist’ revealed to them the true nature of this universe. Their findings are in no way different from the understanding of the present day Physical scientists. Our ‘Spiritual Scientists’ understood the mystery of the creation which we see in front of us and we being one in that. They understood nothing can happen without anything. If there is an ‘effect’ there must be a ‘cause’. What is that great ‘cause’? They named it as “Iswar”. Next, they ventured out to find the true nature (qualities) of their ‘Iswar”. The more they realized the more they became spell bound and the more they became a firm believer of a ‘Supreme being’ which is behind all these unique creation with its unique laws (laws of nature-laws of Physics). This ‘Supreme being’ in ‘Sanatan Dharma’ is known as “Iswar”. The nature of their “Iswar” is in no way different from what we are finding now out of our present scientific research. (Next- nature or qualities of ‘Iswar’).
