Spokane Police, in coordination with Spokane Public Schools, are investigating a report of threats made by a juvenile male Lewis and Clark High School student, indicating he planned to harm/kill students, faculty and himself. Spokane Police have located and arrested the juvenile male suspect on charges of Felony Harassment – Threats to Kill. He was booked into Juvenile Detention. Investigation into the reported threats is on-going, however Spokane Police do not believe there are any other outstanding suspects. This afternoon, Spokane Police received a report from a concerned citizen, indicating the citizen was aware of threats made by a juvenile male Lewis and Clark High School student that he wanted to harm/kill students, faculty and himself. Spokane Police immediately followed up on this report, and located the male student. The student was arrested and placed in Juvenile Detention. In addition to working with Spokane Public Schools, Spokane Police are also working with our mental health partners to assist in this case. The investigation into this incident is on-going. Additional charges may be forthcoming. Spokane Police do not believe there are any other outstanding suspects and are working with Spokane Public Schools to maintain safety and security for students and faculty.
