Spoke to a few people in Scotland today who are raging, after receiving what is supposed to be an informative guide on voting from the electoral commission. This is a board who are supposed to be neutral and instead have printed false allegations by the no camp. Its a disgrace. The no camp are trying everything in the book to manipulate the voters- through scare mongering, blatant lying, fixing the audience in what is supposed to be a democratic debate. They have the weight of the press, the BBC behind them and are using UK taxpayers money to fund their campaign. The YES campaign on the other hand is supported and run by people in Scotland who are just so damn desperate to grab with both hands, what is the chance of a lifetime- to rid Scotland of Tory rule and start the process of changing the awful situation that the government has left everyone in. These people generously give up their time (people like my Dad, who is currently out canvassing all day every day, and has been for months) and they do it for no other reward than being able to stand proud in the event of a YES vote, and delight in Scotland finally being able to play an active role in changing their fate. I salute all of those people, whos time and energy plays such a crucial role in this campaign.....well done Dad ( John Ross) - Im very proud.
