3 important things to remember when putting together a healthy eating plan for yourself: 1.) It must be sustainable: If it’s a pain and requires a 24/7 mindset on food, then it’s probably not a sustainable plan. Obsession is not the goal. Feasible, consistent habits are! 2.) It must not disrupt your hormonal balance. Your body will backfire if you mess with your hormones, so the goal is to keep them at optimal levels that provide you balance and stability. Cutting carbs will cause disruption. 3.) It should focus on adding nutrient dense foods more so than listing the foods you need to take away. Your body will naturally divert to eating healthier when you have the right nutrients in your diet. This also allows for the occasional “cheat meals” since your body will be equipped to digest the not-so healthy food.
