Spring has Sprung--resulting in a marked increase in traffic violations such as unreasonable speed, distracted and aggressive driving behavior, stop sign and traffic control violations, etc, etc... It has been the experience of Weston Police Officers that, when the weather improves in the months of May and June, motorists increase speeds and disobey motor vehicle laws and regulations more prevalently. As a direct result of this lack of respect for the traffic laws, there is an increase in the number of motor vehicle accidents and deaths. Weston Police Officers are out in town and will be enforcing the traffic laws for the benefit and safety of everyone on our roads. We have a very low tolerance for motorists who drive recklessly here in Weston and the officers are encouraged to write tickets. Please enjoy the beautiful weather, but also drive carefully and share the roads with motorcycles, pedestrians and bicyclists! Thank you for your cooperation! Chief John Troxell
