Spurs set sights on Brazilian wonderkid. Andre Villas-Boas will try to sign Santos’ Brazilian wonderkid Neílton for the second time this year, reports from Portugal have claimed. The 19-year-old has already been called “the new Neymar” after a string of excellent performances since his professional call-up in March, and is said to be a target for Sao Paolo, Sevilla and Atletico Mineiro. The Wage Game The Spurs boss supposedly tried to sign Neílton in the summer as Spurs’ transfer spend soared through the £100m mark, however the offer was turned down. Brazilian newspaper Lance! have claimed that Santos offered a wage fee of around £6,800-a-week (R$25,000), with the agent demanding £19,000-a-week (R$70,000), causing the renewal deal to fall through.
