Squeak!!! Just some inside awareness to the Church: The squeaky wheel gets the grease. The demands on those who pastor are always greater than what they can meet. This tends to create some default patterns in which the squeaky wheels of ministry get grease, so to speak, while other, equally important areas of responsibility are less attended. Often, the Pastors family is the wheel that squeaks the least. Why is this so? Most Pastors wives are keenly aware of the demands of ministry. More so than any other member of the church, a Pastors wife is aware of how hard her husband labors to care for the flock. And because she wants to support and encourage her husband, she is gracious, not wanting to add to the pressure, and expectations, a Pastors family can easily get squeezed out.
