Sr Director Medical Value & Strategy: Details: Position can be based in: Bridgewater NJ or Cambridge, Waltham, Framingham, MA Manages Relationships with variety of Global & Regional science teams, project teams, commercial and marketing collaborators, others.The Director/Sr. Director, Medical Value and Strategy for the Patient Value and Strategy Group (PVSG) is responsible for providing strategic Medical Value and Patient Need input into present and future indications of interest as part of the building of a high value portfolio for future promotion. More specifically, this position will be responsible for providing strategic medical value and patient need input into a variety of internal projects and leading teams toward a collaborative and consolidated output. The scope of the projects will include all early research across the global organization. The individual in this role will be responsible for ensuring that the overall stratgeic direction of the projects is clear and will be responsible for leading the collaborative efforts that contribute to successful outputs and assuring all contributions are integrated appropriately. The individual in this role will not only work closely with science based colleagues but will have regular interactions with business and commercial colleagues. As such, formal business training and/or experience is preferred. This work will require a good understanding of organizational assets (pre-development and in development)in the context of portfolio strategy. The position will require international collaboration within the company. This will include working closely with international colleagues from Research and Development and commercial units - gathering consensus on ouput and consolidating final recommendations to the PVSG. The individual in this position is required to have strong presentation skills and the ability to influence key internal stakeholders, both within and outside of R&D. The individual in this position should posess the skills necessary to inform, educate and influence a diverse group of internal stakeholders with the goal of aligning the PVSG perspectives with those of the organization and our potential customers. With minimal supervision by the Head, PVSG, this individual is responsible for ensuring timely & thorough completion of strategic indication selections, disease specific evaluations, external opportunity evaluations & assessing the viability of internal compounds as related to the medical value and patient need perspective. Provides key input and participates in presentations to oversight committees within the Sanofi organization. Builds internal and external networks as needed to ensure comprehensive evaluations. Provides strategic input into the positioning of assets in developemt. Develops the Medical Value and Patient Need positioning for assets in early research and development. Manages Relationships with variety of Global & Regional science teams, project teams, commercial and marketing collaborators, others. Represents the PVSG and works crossfunctionally with all departments within Sanofi R&D, Sanofi/Genzyme Commercial, US Pharma Ops, N.A. Development Center, EVD, etc. to ensure no silos are created during the indication selection, internal program evaluation & external opportunities process.
