Stage set for OFC Champions League The Oceania Football Confederations Champions League kicks-off this afternoon at Govind Park in Ba. OFC Media and Communications manager Gordon Glen Watson says fans can expect to witness top-level football when teams take to the field. “You’ve got 12 clubs that are all very strong like Amicale from Vanuatu that have recruited very strongly. There’s Tafea that have some young local players and of course defending champions Auckland City and former champions Waitakere United. And then there’s Ba and Nadi. Ba have been in the final and Nadi back in the competition after 15 years. There’s a lot of expectations.” Tafea takes on Hekari United at 1pm today while hosts, Vodafone 4R Electrical Ba take on AS Magenta of New Caledonia at 4pm. You can catch live commentaries of Vodafone/Shop N Save Nadi and Vodafone/4R Electrical Ba’s matches on Radio Fiji 2 with the voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart.
