Star of the Day: Simone Osborne, Soprano A recent graduate of the #EnsembleStudio, Simone is a frequent artist at the Canadian Opera Company, having performed in Gianni Schicchi, Rigoletto and The Magic Flute, and most recently she sang as Musetta in our fall production of La Bohème. This winter she makes her role debut as Oscar in Verdis A Masked Ball. A graduate of the University of British Columbia, this Canadian soprano won The Metropolitan Operas National Council Audition in 2008, then joined the COC #EnsembleStudio in 2009, and in her first year after graduating from the program, traveled to 12 countries in 12 months! Simone will be returning to the COC in October 2014 to sing Nannetta in Falstaff.
