Start from Eritreans to decide the future of Eritrea...and start from Ethiopians to decide the future of Ethiopia....also start from the questions of Oromos to answer the question of Oromos. No ethnic group in that country should feel discriminated. Nice discussions should start based on mutual understanding. Look at our reactions....there is this issue about Betty and we saw all those opposing views even if we got many cases which are more horrible there in front of our eyes at addis and others cities ...why? basically we did take those as common and acceptable. then there is the Betty show....too much reactions as if we were from another world. Now, there was this TV Program on Aljazeera and I see lots of comments about Oromos...for me the problem if not about the Oromos but why should Aljazeera and those who own it tell us our stories and try to open ways for others while we can handle it by our own?......yes, peaceful and prosperous Ethiopia is highly dependent on its people and on the needs of different groups in the nation. All these developments are healthy and natural if we see it positively and if we take it to our advantage. Why should Egypt help answer the needs of our people while We can solve it together? I am half Oromo and half Amhara in ethnic terms....two of the most populous Ethnic groups in Ethiopia. Yes, I somehow understand the needs of these groups....but their needs are not better than the needs of Welayita or Sidama ethnic groups, for example, if we see it in terms of living together and building a healthy society where human and democratic rights are secured. But, one can easily confuse our farmers and largely uneducated population by telling them that this people are going to destroy us...etc while the major questions are about economy, education, health, jobs, freedom, peace, and equality of individuals and groups. Ethiopia is waking up to its old but hidden problems....Nile river was there for years....but we just waked up to face it......ethnic problems were there....again, external powers are going to take advantage of it.....etc. But, largely only because we are in Africa that we do think that much about ethnic groups..... if Human and individual rights are maintained, then, group rights will be there.....thus, for me Ethnicity is just a cover page but a very big problem when not solved wisely. I think its not easy to find one easy solution in such diverse nation like Ethiopia and where most of the public is uneducated. So, lets think about listening to all needs of people and political groups and address it accordingly. Those guys out there who are more involved into the politics....please please start face to face discussions. NB, you are all politicians and none of you are better than the other....you just speak different needs. If we handle it wisely, we can have more peace and more tolerance....and our lovely diaspora community would also add more the goods of our beloved people and also more benefits to the nations where the diaspora is and to the whole world....above all, to the poor people that still dream about ways out of poverty. Stop playing with lives of people.....be flexible and be civilized..... Just look at the USA....how many ethnic groups are there? or even come to Denmark, how do ethnic minorities feel?.....please wake up......win win conflict resolutions.....
