Starting tonight (Nov.5-Nov.7) the Yee Ping, (sometimes spelled Yi Ping) is held in the northern Thailand city of Chiang Mai. Many fire fueled paper lanterns will be set aloft in a spectacular display to celebrate the full moon on the twelfth month of the Thai lunar calendar! I hope they bring us good luck and not bring down any airplanes at the near-by airport, (all flights have been suspended at that time!), or light too many fires! HAPPY YEE PING FESTIVAL ALL!...
