Station 18 units have just returned from a motor vehicle accident on Route 47 in Dennisville. Engine 1838 responded to the scene and found a 3-car accident with all vehicles still in the roadway. An ambulance from Millville Rescue Squad was in the area at the time of the crash and had begun to treat patients upon arrival. Firefighters from Engine 1838 and Rescue 1872 provided additional patient care to occupants until additional ambulances from Belleplain Emergency Corps and Middle Township Ambulance Corps arrived. Due to the condition of one patient, EMTs on location requested a helicopter to transport the patient. Engine 1835 established a landing zone at South Dennis Cemetery on Route 47. AtlantiCare Paramedics and the NJ State Police also responded to the scene. Great job by all involved.
