Status asks: Whats on your mind? Well Ill tell you cause I want to vent and get this off my chest, and then Ill be fine...well sort of. Why is it that society accepts men to be bald and its alright BUT for a woman to be bald, people come and look at you just to stare, laugh, make you feel insecure and humiliated, and to top it off these same people claim to know you, be your friend, and the thing that really gets me is THEY KNOW I HAVE CANCER AND I WOULD BE LOSING MY HAIR! Even strangers seem to show more compassion for my hairloss than I deserve. It just seems to me that in todays crazy lifestyle of everything that people face, men and women would grow up. I am human! I have emotions that can be hurt by those around me! I AM A WOMAN WHO IS GOING BALD...IT IS DUE TO CANCER!!!!! I didnt bring this on myself...IT IS CALLED LIFE HAPPENS! Yes, my wish is that this had never happened to me, but IT DID! I try to face everyday with a brave smile and a cheery attitude...AND IT IS HARDER ON SOME DAYS THAN OTHERS, BELIEVE ME!! However, if you see me out and about, whether I have something on my head or not, PLEASE DONT JUDGE ME AND THINK YOU HAVE MY LIFE FIGURED OUT! It is MY LIFE and I DONT HAVE IT FIGURED OUT!! Just like that commercial says...Some days I feel like a nut, some days I dont; well, I would change that up by saying...SOME DAYS I FEEL ALRIGHT, SOME DAYS I DONT!! Well, thats my rant and I have vented and expressed my feelings. This isnt really directed at any one person or at any one certain event...this is how I see things and how I feel. But can I ask each and everyone of you who might be reading this entire posting...THINK ABOUT HOW YOU MIGHT FEEL IF THIS WAS TO HAPPEN TO YOU. MALES AND FEMALES MAY BE BALD IN TODAYS SOCIETY...SOME BY CHOICE AND SOME BY MEANS OF MEDICAL REASONS...SO PLEASE DONT JUDGE, STARE, MAKE COMMENTS, OR HURT BY WORDS OR ACTIONS. JUST PLEASE BE ACCEPTING OF THE SITUATION AND BE COMPASSIONATE. Thanks for letting me express myself and allowing me to get this off my mind.
