Stay Filled (Acts 2:4 NKJV) And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. The disciples of Jesus were not just filled with the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. They were always filled. They stay filled with Gods awesome presence on a consistent basis. They were committed to practices that would ensure that they were full of God at all times. Looking at the exploits of the disciples, it is obvious that their walk with God was never compromised. They had fellowship with God and one another. They continued in the teaching of Jesus and prayed continually. Their society knew there was something different about them. The people in their generation recognized the fact that they had been with Jesus. Signs and wonders were a hallmark of these set of believers. They healed the sick just like their master. Their boldness was uncommon and their confidence was unusual. The threats of the political and religious leaders of their days was not enough to stop them. Being filled with the Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues is the starting point of a spirit-filled life. Go beyond this. Stay in the Word and prayer until your cup is overflowing with the presence of God. You are a New Testament saint so make Jesus proud by maintaining a spirit-filled life.
