Steel is having a great time at the beach. Pushing himself to the limit everyday until his tank has absolutely nothing left in it. Tonight as I lay in bed with him and he continued to fight his heavy eyelids; he reached over and said, Dad will you hold my hand until I fall asleep? As a parent it warms your heart and you realize that you are his protector, his security blanket. As I held his hand it also dawned on me that it will be too soon and he will no longer ask to hold my hand until he falls asleep.
