`~ Still Dancing While The House Is On Fire ~ Same people, same ideology, same mentality, same stance and same outdated jaundiced approach to the-One-Nigerianess. What a nation with greed as baptismal name, where equity and equality remains a first-class Taboo!!!! Make a reference to the lopsidedness of its structures and be branded a hyper-tribal-ethno-religious-bigot..... play along like a moron and metamorphose to an overnight Nationalist, hence their continues selfish and manipulative proclivities to shooting down every move designed to restructure Nigeria-our-country.....through the enthronement of an all inclusive and responsive fiscal federalism. The present structure remains and albatross to the southerners, but the only tool to conquer, control and shortchange the same ever willing servants ( the south & northern minority) in the presence of their core Northern Lords. These development has vindicated us, as we continue to harp on their unwavering stance on Born-To-Rule mentality, while hiding in the cocoon of a subtle but dangerous way of playing the Ostrich , In wait, of the return of the inherited power. Suffix it to say that one of the major aims of the prevailing insurrection is to evict majority of the unbelievers in the area as a prelude to having an unfettered access to comprehensively manipulate the forth coming Election and Census, where Cattle and Rams will be deployed as usual to augment and shoot up their numerical strength. Any wonder same tactics had been procured and deployed by a few of our so called leaders, who had in no small measure bastardized the mandate freely handed over to them, not minding or pretending oblivious of the after-effect of their actions. That some hoodlums are now trooping en-masse, in a pilgrimage-like to the south is as paradoxical as its preposterous... ..and now shows the perfidious nature of some who claims to be fighting for the masses. It would be absolute disingenuous of us to aver that these bandits....on their own volition...came together...hired some clean and expensive Buses to convey them to God-knows-where...... Even more painful and atrocious is the fact that some confirmed suicide-bombers have been dictated among these august travellers. First, it was 100+, sponsored to Anambra election , to 489+ in Aba, packaged in about 30 Buses en- rout Port Harcourt for early acclimatization and integration before the D day. Coupled with others time and space would fail me to mention ....not forgetting the explosives found in Owerri , Imo State and many others detonated in Lagos and Osun States. It sounded funny when it was alleged that Aregbe sponsored some bandits to Anambra election for a phantom rig and roast... not knowing it was part of a partys ideology and stratagem to win election, which has now signalled a new dawn in our evolving democracy since the trend remains unnoticed but unabated as proved by a recent security report which claims that some 26,000 almajiris have been imported into Osun and its environs for electoral purposes. For curiosity sake, what exactly are these people trooping into the the south for...? What type of Shoe or Suya making industries were recently established in the south that is super- attracting these jobless, unskilled , unemployed and destructive Shoe and Suya making urchins.....? Who do they know at the assumed port of call...? Who is to take care of their welfare, as none could boast of anything more than a thousand naira....? Im still thinking, rummaging and wondering with eyes rolling in unbelief and absolute consternation..... What could motivate a supposed leader, after a careful evaluation of what is happening in the North-East nay Nigeria to import such disasters or security risks in the name of politics. Its salutary to observe some security personnel keeping tabs on this absurdity, but pressure from us are supposed to be incorporated into this fight to avoid giving a leeway for the fruition of the so called Haram in our area. But to my greatest dismay and anguish, almost all of us and our leaders have continued to downplay this impending catastrophe. How can we be playing politics with our lives, defending madness in the name of partisan politics while our territory is practically under siege by some blood thirsty hoodlums because of the greed of a few...? Or.... isnt it obvious that this wrong calculation is a time bomb and every Dick, Tom and Harry could be the lubricant of the hurricane of such a revolution....? Im therefore of the opinion that we look critically at this sickness and treat it with the urgency it requires, by calling the protagonists of this macabre dance to order for a stitch in time, they say, saves nine. — Nnamdi Ukasanya.
