Still trying to find a home for Rex....not one response to adopt - TopicsExpress

Still trying to find a home for Rex....not one response to adopt or foster, so we will try again. Thanks guys in advance..... Need to find a new home for my hound pointer mix. He 6 1/2 and his name is Rexford. He has no health issues. Up to date on rabies vaccine. He likes to be outside. I want him to go to good home. He needs someone who is active enough to walk him at least an hour a day. If you hike and tote him along on car rides and errands, even better. He can be skittish of dominant male or female energies. He needs someone with a yard secure/ big enough to spend nice days outside. He is depressed if left on a tie out and will escape an electric fence. So a fenced in yard would be nice unless you also spend all day outside. He stays around if he has company. Please understand that I would Request a $20 rehousing fee to ensure that Rex is in good care. I will include his food bowl and his leash and his collar with tags. He is microchiped, neutered, laid back except when he needs something which is rare and he is excellent with children. He has limited exposure to cats but is overall very docile. He is good with other dogs but sometimes dominant breed dogs will go after him, due to his anxious energy. In the house he basically sleeps all day. Hes an awesome dog. He wants to explore scents and bask in the sun. He is a gentle soul but his hound dog instincts make him the wrong fit for our family. Were sad to see him go but he keeps escaping our electric fence. He always comes home, but I fear one day he will get injured or killed and we would be devastated. MESSAGE: drsloane@hotmail
