Stop buying in to the hype. Too many make lies in to realities with hopes and funds they should put somewhere else. Getting wrapped up in these dime a dozen #awardshows is insane. Does getting a nomination for an award that requires an entry fee seem like its going to be legit? WAKE UP! Cause of course all these up and coming artists that talk about winning this award, that award, the other and another really help in the starting phase. Not so much. I just read about a girl that paid an entry fee to be nominated for a show, where she they had to pay to go to Hollywood and buy a ticket to attend that show and dinner, then still lost, is out a small fortune, but is bragging about a nomination for a show no one takes all that seriously, has never helped any body and covers it all with upper scale awards to people that dont need them to give off a sense of authenticity to them. Wake up. Do your due diligence and spend your money on lighting a path for forward motion instead of paying for tiny spotlights that burn out and leave you no where and in the dark.
