Stories like these make my blood boil. Its betrayal at so many different levels: the hospital, the employees who stole and posted the information, the womans friends who criticized and made fun of her, and society at large for creating an environment where some (horrible) people will read this article and say she deserves it. This is why I am committed to being out about living with an STI and combating societal stigma. This woman was being responsible. She was getting tested and treated for this condition. She does not deserve to be slut shamed and ostracized.
