Story behind the photo – 171- Divine Darshan from very Near - TopicsExpress

Story behind the photo – 171- Divine Darshan from very Near and from long distance. We used to join the queue for taking tokens very early morning. Many of us even make one more trip to Ganesh temple and pray that we should get Token No.1. And when our line is called token one, we get excited, and make a running towards Kulwant Hall so that we don’t miss the first line. Then the anxious wait, till Swami arrives. More prayers are made that Swami does not go to opposite side and that He should come nearer to you. Then there is another anxiety; Will Swami accept our letter? Can I get a chance to touch the Divine Lotus Feet? Will Swami will look at me? When any of those prayers are granted, we feel blessed. We tell every one that , “Today I had very very nice Darshan”! We feel like going to roof top and shout to the world that Swami looked at me or accepted my letter and could take Pada Namskaram etc. If Swami by His compassion asks you, “Enna Samacharam?” (How are you, what is the problem?). In such situations the devotees feel elated. And yet those who were not fortunate to get front rows, or sitting far away from Swami’s path, they also feel blessed when Bhagavan passes by. Sheer joy all over the Hall ! Now I wish to State about the bliss of Divine Darshan even from a long distance. Can it be also blissful? Prior to celebrations of Sahasra Chandra Darshanam festival, all buildings and structure were being painted. My Sai friend Sri. Salem Sengodan was handling this project. All statues on the hill overlooking Hill view stadium were also getting fresh painting. I got a small participation in the great job. I was overseing the painting of the Giant Statue of Hanuman atop the hill. The painters had climbed up the statue through the tall scaffoldings. To see the boys moving around the Statue especially over the small Hill, which Hanuman was holding, was frightening. I was praying with all sincerity that no mishap should befall on the poor painters on the job. Swami drove up to the stadium by noon time to see for Himself about the arrangements being made for the celebrations. Out of the car, Swami suddenly looked up the hill of Hanuman. Here it is not that we were looking at Bhagavan, but Bhagavan was looking up at us. Those few seconds of Swami looking at us, gave us the maximum joy. I understood then that even Swami’s Darshan from far distance could also bestow Joy and bliss on us. With Love & Regards, Mumbai Srinivasan.
