In photography, with the obsessive search for the big new talent, intense erosion of fees (Visa Pour LImages Jean-Francois Leroy is quoted, Im paraphrasing here, as saying photos the value of a photo is no longer worth the price of a condom); middle-aged photogs often flee the shooting side for a salaried position (if they are fortunate enough to find one) or leave photography altogether for the real fear of the specter of homelessness. Photography can be so 1930s with massive INTRA-industry issues, like the crazy uncle Boo Radley, locked in the closet. Thanks to Ben for turning his journo instincts on US, the photo world.
