Story of the day: Just returned from the most stressful car ride I have ever taken. At 2 a.m. there was a knock at my front door. This lady, who claimed to live "just 5 houses down" from me begged for a ride to the gas station, said she needed money from the ATM. (which is actually within walking distance). Thinking it would take less than 5 minutes, I got my shoes, but wisely decided not to take my purse. After stopping at the ATM, she asked if I would take her to another address, said she owed someone $100. She had a very large purse, which she kept reaching into, making me very nervous. I was beginning to think I was about to be robbed, or shot, etc and started planning what to do if she pulled something out of her purse(like a gun). She wanted to take me on back roads, but I refused. Finally got to the address, she went inside while I kept a very keen watch on my surroundings. Then on the way home, she insisted I drop her off a block away from my house and she could walk home (although she originally stated that she lived on my street). Thinking I have just been part of a drug run... Next time I hear a knock on my door after midnight, I am answering with my friend, 9 mm kel-tec, by my side.
