Story time! This is something Im calling Devins letter to the forever friend Devin is a lovely young man lusting after an older lovely waitress. Bon appetite! Allisson...shes my baby, but she doesnt know it. Id like to think she does though, because when I look at her I see that she does. I can tell somehow. Thats the thing...shes so very different from everyone else and no one understands that. Often times they leave her very hurt, and I can tell! I feel it, I feel what shes going through from miles away. And then, I can also become elated with the very thought of talking to her about one of the silly things we talk about, anywhere. I could be at the gateway to hell and feel light as a feather with the memory of how her face looks when she laughs, how she sounds, what we talked about. We are two very heavy people who get very light next to eachother. The world is alighted. Its so damn cliche! But its very, very, very true. You know how when it storms, sometimes, youll make some tea and maybe snuggle up in a blanket, you might even sit by the window and watch it. Well, shes the equivalent of that cozy feeling for me, I mean, warm, with just a touch of danger and thrill. Thats how you should always feel. I wish we all could. And you know, I used to worry that maybe that feeling would go away if I messed up. But then something amazing happened: she convinced me that that would never happen. And I think thats how she kind of told me that she understands me too. That feeling is sacred, precious, beloved, all of the above. Its also a tragedy, because I love her.
