Strategic Action of Modi Govt for transparent & corruption free India and for rescuing /saving the life of citizens during natural calamity. • CIC is headless : The chair of Central Information Commission(CIC) has remained vacant since 22 Aug 2014 • CVC is headless: The chair of Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has remained vacant since 26 Sept 2014 and The chair of Vigilance Commission (VC) one out of two has remained vacant since 7 Sept 2014. • Lokpal is headless : The Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, 2013 came into force from 16 January 2014 but post of Lokpal has remained vacant & the act is not fully operational till date. • WBPA-2011 has not enforced: The Whistle Blowers Protection Act, 2011 (WBPA-2011) has received the Presidents assent on 9 May 2014 but it has not come into force till now. • NDMA is headless: National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has been headless since the general elections this summer when eight of the nine members, including the vice-chairman, resigned. Dear PM Narendra Modi ji, Please appoint the chief Information commission as per section- 12(3) of RTI Act-2005. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 12(3) of RTI Act-2005 : The Chief Information Commissioner and Information Commissioners shall be appointed by the President on the recommendation of a committee consisting of— (i) the Prime Minister, who shall be the Chairperson of the committee; (ii) the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha; and (iii) a Union Cabinet Minister to be nominated by the Prime Minister. Explanation.—For the purposes of removal of doubts, it is hereby declared that where the Leader of Opposition in the House of the People has not been recognised as such, the Leader of the single largest group in opposition of the Government in the House of the People shall be deemed to be the Leader of Opposition. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- So, we the citizens of India are requesting you to take necessary steps & process for the appointment of the CIC, as soon as possible.
