Struggling with Grace: Originally from the Physics side of life, Newtons 3rd Law for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction has won worldwide acclaim by transcending several discipline boundaries and is now commonly used by motivational speakers and the like in their presentations. This law, relevant as it may be to various scenarios has unfortunately also transgressed into the Faith zone, where many have tried to equally apply it, to their own frustration and at worst, detriment. Riding on the back of this law many believers have unfortunately had their conception of grace obscured and in some cases completely blanked out to one of the foremost principles that is For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV. In otherwards the grace that brought you to salvation did not need your help/effort in the first place. It is like queuing to pay for your ticket at a booth only to be told that you need not and indeed, the bouncer at the entrance simply smiles and ushers you in. Knowledge of human trickery would at this point alert you to watch out for you are starting to tread on strange ground. Sorry to burst your alert bubble but it is not the same way with grace. Our GOD IS LOVE [1 John 4:8] and wouldnt trick you into freely securing salvation only to issue you a lifetime maintenance plan sustained by your own efforts. NO WAY! He is the same yesterday and to day and for ever [Hebrews 13:8] In coming up with this once-and-for-all grand masterplan. God who created heaven and earth knew that the blood of lambs, bullocks and whatever else that was slaughtered to fulfil the law was simply not sustainable. For God has done what the Law could not do, [its power] being weakened by the flesh [the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit]. Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, [God] condemned sin in the flesh [subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice] Romans 8:3 AMP The key therefore to ending your struggle with Grace is accepting that once-and-for-all perfect sacrifice of Jesus for any offence you have committed, are committing and will ever commit. Remember, HE IS THE SAME yesterday and to day and for ever [Hebrews 13:8]. The same grace that saved you in the past will save you today and for ever. To step aside from this is to establish your own righteousness. I bear them witness that they have a [certain] zeal and enthusiasm for God, but it is not enlightened and according to [correct and vital] knowledge. For being ignorant of the righteousness that God ascribes [which makes one acceptable to Him in word, thought, and deed] and seeking to establish a righteousness (a means of salvation) of their own, they did not obey or submit themselves to God’s righteousness. For Christ is the end of the Law [the limit at which it ceases to be, for the Law leads up to Him Who is the fulfillment of its types, and in Him the purpose which it was designed to accomplish is fulfilled. That is, the purpose of the Law is fulfilled in Him] as the means of righteousness (right relationship to God) for everyone who trusts in and adheres to and relies on Him. Romans 10:2-4 AMP #WORD
