Student passed out from IIT and IIM may or may not be a catalyst - TopicsExpress

Student passed out from IIT and IIM may or may not be a catalyst for development. But any institution itself can definitely play a catalytic role for development of varying magnitude in an area depending upon its size and business. More the money involved in day to day affairs of any institution, more is the developmental impulse generated around of that institution. Let me further give u another angle of understanding this simple fact. Printing of a ten rupee note cannot bring development, until unless it lands into market. More it is rolled from hand to hand, more it brings development. Why and how ?? Because, our productive labour (effort) of every person is interpreted/converted/encashed into money to exchange the same for fulfilling our other needs. Hence, an entry of external money to an area due to any reason (institution, tourism, industry, trading etc.) does not lie there idle but finds several ways to be rolled through multi hands and generates employment. For example with admission of one MBA student, s/he may spend around a few lakhs in that local area that attract employment generation through grocery shops, saloon, cloth merchant, local and external transportation, household industries etc. Entry of money to an area is called base economy and rolling of the same is called non-based economy of any area. More rolling of money, more generation of employment, hence more economic development and financial security at individual/financial level. Without base economy, non-base cannot come into existence. This is why, a town generates more employment than a village. A town with secondary(industrial) and tertiary (service, trading etc) activities pulls more money from out side than villages. Hence, it gives more opportunity for its rolling through multi hands by creating multi employment generating causes.. IIM, if established in W.Odisha will generate development in above ways..Hence, lets not bargain for IIM in Sambalpur only, but anywhere in W.Odisha.
