Study time!!! FINANCES The funeral was noteworthy, for the deceased had been terribly wealthy. In the back of the room, two acquaintances spoke of the settlement of the will. How much did he leave? one asked. All of it, said the other. That story seems to characterize The Bibles approach to finances. While useful, money cant become a priority. It doesnt even enter eternity with us. Jesus said, A person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God (Luke 12:21). Todays Scriptures We didnt bring anything with us when we came into the world, and we certainly can- not carry anything with us when we die. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content 1 Timothy 6:7-8, NLT Remember the words of the Lord Jesus: It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35, NLT Tell those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which will soon be gone. But their trust should be in the living God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and should give generously to those in need, always being ready to share with others whatever God has given them. 1 Timothy 6:17-18, NLT Gods Promise By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may take hold of real life. 1 Timothy 6:19, NLT Action Point Invest in people. Souls are eternal. Count your blessings, and share with someone less fortunate. Plan to be a blessing to someone today. Cbn
